This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

A Heat Advisory is in effect for the area Monday and Tuesday. 
Please refer to the National Weather Service website at 
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are forecast Monday. The first
round reaches western Iowa early Monday morning and tracks east
across the state. Additional storms are possible Monday evening
into Monday night. Some of the storms may be strong to severe and
capable of damaging winds and large hail. Locally heavy rainfall
may also occur, but the flash flood threat is low outside of urban
areas. 

Periodic storm chances continue Tuesday and through much of the 
upcoming week. The severe weather risk will be better refined in 
the coming days.

High heat and humidity will combine to make potentially hazardous
conditions with peak heat index values between 100 to 105 degrees
Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
