What to hope for?

Our recent stretch of weather has been mostly dry and just a bit on the cool side of normal. The problem is that the crops could use heat to really warm up the ground and help to speed growth. More heat though implies more humidity due to plant transpiration and probably more chances of rain, which the flooded out areas certainly do not need. So what should we hope for?
