New and Fancy IEM Plot Style

Posted: 01 Apr 2021 05:36 AM

This website generates a lot of graphs, too many boring graphs with numbers and legends and such. If you are reading this, you survived the pandemic so far, but may not survive another boring IEM graph. It is time for a change! Today's featured graphic introduces a brand new plotting style that will ensure increased enjoyment, education, and engagement. The new plotting style features no numbers, no confusing units, and explains complex weather and climate issues in plain terms. The example graph contains a time series of temperature data for Ames for some previous year, it doesn't matter which year as they all are generally the same. Our yearly weather features an extended period of too cold weather, a shorter period of weather that is too hot and two days in between.
