Posted: 23 Oct 2020 05:46 AM

Thursday featured a strong clash of air masses over Iowa with southeastern Iowa enjoying temperatures near 80 degrees whilst the rest of the state suffered with fog and much colder temperatures. The featured chart presents all Iowa airport temperature reports from Thursday to Friday morning with the red line representing the spread between the coldest and warmest temperature in the state. The cold front made its way fully through Iowa at about midnight this morning and now the entire state is on the cold side with not much variability in temperature left.
