CoCoRaHS County Counts

Posted: 25 Jun 2020 04:45 AM

While having a wild acronym, the "Community Collaborative Rain Hail and Snow" network is a citizen science project that primarily organizes the daily collection of rain and snowfall reports. The featured map presents the number of observers per county that have made at least one rainfall report over the past year. Fifteen counties are shown without a currently active observer. The project website is a great place to start if you have interest in joining the network. To join the network, you need to purchase a project official rain gauge which has the ability to measure rainfall at 0.01" inch resolution!
