A Good Friday to you! The wind was howling on Thursday with a few locations having wind gusts topping 60 MPH. The featured map shows peak wind gust reports for Iowa ASOS/AWOS airport weather stations. There were also brief snow squals that were picturesque. The other main weather story yesterday was temperatures, which were well below the recent warmth we've enjoyed and it felt much more like late winter season than early spring. The cool weather will stick around into next week.
