'19-'20 Winter Storm #12

Posted: 01 Jan 2020 06:46 AM

Happy New Year! The round of light snowfall overnight on Monday was sufficient to reach the arbitrary threshold of having two plus inches reported somewhere in the state and so qualifies for the IEM "Winter Storm" accounting. Additionally, some may argue that this round of snow was associated with the same storm system that light snowfall over northwestern Iowa and was counted as storm #11. Anyway, have good cheer for the new year and put these worries aside! We'll have a few days of warmer weather before our next taste of winter arrives for the weekend.
