Up until Saturday, Dubuque was on pace to have its driest December on record. Then 1.11 inches fell on Saturday (a new site record for the date) and then another quarter of an inch on Sunday. The featured chart shows how quickly the site has made up month to date departure and is back to average for the month now. Warm temperatures accompanied the precipitation as well for most of the state with record highs set at a number of locations. We'll have a few more days of unsettled winter like weather before mild air returns for the new year.
