Warm summer like temperatures have generally been illusive so far this year. The featured map presents an IEM analysis of the departure of number of days with a high temperature of at least 80 degrees this year. Much of the country is shown below average with the exceptions being the southeastern and far western US. For Iowa, the forecast has such temperatures arriving on Saturday and hopefully sticking around for a while! Wouldn't it be nice to have some summer weather this year?
