Much of central Iowa finally got its first big snow storm of the season. The featured map shows an analysis of reports with two stripes of higher totals shown. This snow was generally light and fluffy which is of concern as strong winds are expected to develop on Thursday and blow this around creating blizzard to near blizzard conditions. The other big story is the arrival of very cold air for the weekend.
