Beating June 1933

Posted: 16 Jun 2016 05:42 AM

For Des Moines, the warmest June as expressed by average temperature is June 1933. Could this June be warmer than that June? One way to answer this question is to simply tack on all of the previous June's data onto this month's time series and see if any of these scenarios beat 1933. The chart indicates that none of them do! Of course, we could have warmer weather each day than anything previously experienced, but the current forecast does not indicate that to be the case. 'Cooler' weather looks to arrive next week, with highs closer to average for this time of the year.
