Our experience with very mild air for early March ended on Wednesday with the passage of a cold front ushering in more seasonable air. The featured chart presents a time series of air temperature for some automated weather sites in the state. Cold front passages like this create a very difficult forecasting situation as the timing of the front greatly impacts the high temperature for the day.
