Northwest Iowa still waiting

Posted: 15 Mar 2010 05:10 AM

The featured map displays the warmest temperature reported since the 2nd of December this winter and the northwest corner of the state is still waiting for the warm springlike temperatures to arrive. The snow pack was the deepest in this area and some of it still remains today. While Eastern Iowa was lucky enough to see the sun and 60 degrees on Sunday, the rest of the state experienced clouds with much cooler temperatures. The forecast for this week looks to continue the recent streak of warm and wet weather, much better than the alternative of a big snow storm and cold!
