The latest release of the U.S. Drought Monitor shows the severe (D2) dryness currently impacting Southcentral and Northwest Iowa. Exceptional (D4) dry conditions exist in Central South Dakota and a few areas in Texas. Chances of rain exist in our forecast, but widespread heavy rain is not likely.
