The featured plot shows a special phenomena that happened yesterday along the boundary between the snowpack (white colors) and bare ground (dark colors). A so called snow breeze happens when differential heating occurs causing a pressure gradient which drives the wind. The general flow yesterday was from the southwest and you can see the northeasterly flow from sites within the snowpack representing the snow breeze. Cool stuff!
