Shown are high and low 4 inch soil temperatures for yesterday from the ISU AgClimate Network. As you can see, very little moment occured in the soil temps because of the deep snow on the ground. The snow pack acts as a blanket keeping heat in and as a mirror by reflecting solar energy out.
