An interesting thing occurred late Friday night. The highlighted mesonet plot shows stations near Fort Dodge. Notice Fort Dodge (16F) and Webster City (14F) are much colder than surrounding stations (mid 20s). The circles (sky coverage) indicate that clearing had taken place and without the cloud blanket, temperatures dropped.
