Today is the first official day of fall. Low temperatures this morning are at or below normal with the coolest readings in SE Iowa and the warmest readings in NW Iowa. Cloud cover becomes a very important factor in how low temperatures can go. Clouds provide the earth a blanket at night, so cloudy areas will stay warmer.
