Thunderstorms dumped significant amounts of precip over some parts of the state. The Des Moines Metro was one of those parts. SchoolNet totals in Des Moines were 2.33 & 1.65 and the airport received unofficially 1.73 inches yesterday. The rain fell in a very short time span which resulted in flash flooding.
